Bim’s Kitchen is a small family business that produces their own original recipes for award-winning curries, hot sauces, marinades and con-diments. All products are made in small batches and use exotic ingredients native to or commonly used in Africa. Read how they use the Primera Trio daily for business and leisure.
Established in North London but now based in Afonwen, Flintshire in North Wales, Bim’s Kitchen is the creation of husband and wife team James “Bim” and Nicola Adedeji. They produce a unique range of hand-made African-inspired products and use ingredients that are native to or commonly used in Africa, like baobab fruit, cashew nuts, alligator pepper cubeb and hibiscus flowers amongst others, to make easy-to-use sauces and condiments. All are handmade to their own original recipes. Most of their products are sold through UK distributors, although they do a lot of direct sales to customers at food festivals and fairs, too. The company also has a growing number of catering establishments who use Bim’s Kitchen products on in-house menus.
For James it is important that a mobile printer is particularly small so it can be taken anywhere. In addition, it should have a built-in battery and should be easy to handle. “We use the printer not only for our business but also at home. It is so practical that it fits easily in to our everyday life,” reports James. “Sometimes at trade events, customers are only interested in information about particular products rather than the whole range. This is when the Primera Trio is very efficient for quickly printing out the specific information required.”
There are so many different situations in which James uses the all-in-one mobile printer. “The Primera Trio has proved invaluable for print-ing on-the-spot invoices and order confirmations for customers. Before buying the Primera Trio, these would have had to wait until after the show leaving room for error,” James explains. He also uses the all-in-one printer to scan important information he wants to take home from shows. When not needed at shows, “The running costs do not make it cost-effective to use as a complete replacement for our desk-top printers but the Primera Trio doubles as an effective back-up printer at home.”
The Primera Trio was the first portable printer for the owner of Bim’s Kitchen. He describes it as a new and innovative product with the right price-quality ratio. It also helps him to pres-ent Bim’s Kitchen quality in a more professional way at trade shows. “The Primera Trio made us more efficient and productive at trade shows and at home. That has helped us to grow sales both in the UK and abroad.”
The size, one of the biggest advantages of the Primera Trio compared to other all-in-one printers, has convinced James that it is a worthwhile investment. With the size of a hard-cover book it fits easily in any briefcase, backpack, purse or computer bag. The weight (just about 1.2 kg), the simple handling and the stylish snap on cover, which lets you add a per-sonal touch of colour, were also key factors for his choice.
James summarises: “It’s a very impressive piece of kit. It is one of those things you didn’t think you needed until you get one! Now we wouldn’t be without it. We have had no problems at all with it since we first started using it.”
